There are plenty of people who love to have a cat as a pet
and those who already own a cat. Cats tend to get bored quite easily and will
start to look for some new things to do or play with. Hence, if you love your
cat then get them something that would keep them active and busy for a very
long time. After a bit of research over the Internet, this list I prepared has
toys and cat games just like toys for toddlers but specially manufactured to
keep cats busy. Due to the amount of cat lovers present in the world, some of
the renowned toys manufacturing companies stepped forward to bring about some
exquisite toys and cat games well suited for cats. Below are my top 10 best cat toys that are
inexpensive.

1. Boxes
Everyone who owns a cat or cats would know for sure that
cats are very much fond of boxes. It's not secret at all! One of the best
things about boxes is they are available in a wide range of sizes and are available
for free of cost. Even if your cat gets bored after playing with it for a
certain period of time all you need to do is replace it with a different type
and size one. So your cat would feel as if it’s a new toy and starts playing
with the new box.
2. Paper bags
Paper bags are one of the best cat toys considered by most cat
owners. It's another toy that can be easily attained and for free of cost. The
best part about paper bags other than being free is that cats just love them
like anything.
3. Laser pointer
Laser pointers are very interactive and a stimulating toy
for cats. The laser pointer must be used safely and it must not be pointed at
delicate parts such as the face and eyes. Cats love light and if it’s from a
laser they would jump and leap to try and catch it. The laser pointer can
easily make any lazy or old cat to chase it. , Many cats enjoy this toy a lot.
4. Cat video
Have you noticed that your cat watches all channels relevant
to the nature with you? So, how about buying him a video of his own to have
some quality time? If you are not aware, then there are some videos that are especially
made keeping cats in mind. You can consider buying those for your cat. They sell them at most pet stores.
5. String or twine
There is no cat that can resist from reaching out to grab a moving
string. You can either buy a roll of twine or use string that you have laying around
your house. You just have to show it to your cat and drag it with you around
the house and watch your cat trying to catch it. String is a great cat game and
good exercise for both you and your cat.
6. Furry mice
Furry mice are one of the toys you can find in almost all
pet stores. The furry mice are a cheaper buy than any other cat toys available
in the market. There are some models of furry mice that make noise when cats strike
at them. Most cats love to play with furry mice because they feel real. Cats
feel pride when they succeed in catching this furry mice and tend to bring it
to their owner. It’s a sweet moment to watch.
7. Play cubes
Adding a play cube would make your cat play with it like
anything. They are solid and hence do not wear out easily. These play cubes can
be connected so that a big play house of fun can be created for your cat to
play in. Cats just love playing with these cubes.
8. Catnip toys
Normally we humans do not feel a difference to catnip but if
it’s put in front of your cat it will make him quite playful and very much
excited. It's wise to carry out some research before introducing your cat to catnip
since it can make some cats very agitated.
9. Feather wand
If you own a cat for a long time, then there is no right
expression to describe feathers and cats. Feathers have to ability to satisfy
the hunting instinct within them. Thus, if a feather wand is exposed to a cat,
it will jump at the feather to catch it, thus making the feather wand one of
the most ideal toy to make your cat active. Feather wands with numerous
feathers are much more unpredictable and interactive than a single feather. The
feather wand can be used in different ways to get more attention from your cat.
10. Ping pong balls
Ping pong balls or tennis balls are one of the inexpensive
toy you can get for your cat. These balls can easily keep your very busy for a
long time. For cats, ping pong balls are better than tennis balls as they are

There are plenty of toys available in the market and some
are electronic, however, the electronic ones are a bit expensive than the ones
presented in the above list. Cat towers are not really toys but can provide enjoyment
to your cat. Since cats are vertical creatures, they like to climb up
high. These cat towers can be found in
almost all pet shops and can also be purchased via online stores such as
Amazon.com. Some are not very expensive and will be a great item for your cat
to use. This list gives the details about cat toys which are inexpensive and
are safe for cats to play with. Be sure to add some of them and make them part
of your household. Be sure to check out the Cool Cats Guide for information about all things related to cats.
